What does the merger with US Airways mean
to AAdvantage members?
Loyalty just got better.
We are pleased to announce our merger with US Airways which brings even more opportunities for our AAdvantage members to make the most of their travel. Rest assured, your mileage balance is intact and will continue to be honoured, as is your elite status.
For now, the AAdvantage and Dividend Miles programs will operate separately, but with added benefits for each other’s members. In addition to all the current ways to earn and redeem miles for flights with the AAdvantage program, as of January 7, 2014, you can now earn and redeem miles when flying on US Airways. Members can also earn elite-qualifying miles, points and segments on eligible US Airways flights. Plus, AAdvantage elite-status members will receive select elite benefits when flying on US Airways including priority check-in, security and boarding, free checked bags and more.
You can continue to book your flights and manage your AAdvantage account on aa.com, where US Airways flights are available for booking as well. For more information, visit our merger update page to stay up to speed on all the new program perks available to AAdvantage members.
